Shipping
The shipping module in Velocity WMS provides for quick and efficient shipping of goods out of your warehouse. Items from orders are automatically imported into shipment to lessen the amount of data entry needed. When items are shipped, the committed inventory is automatically decremented keeping your real-time inventory information up to date.
Features:
- Generate and print shipping labels.
- Generate and print shipping manifest.
- Generate and print bill of lading.
- Assign transportation carrier and enter tracking number for linking to carrier website.
- Automatically send email notification to customer, consignee, and warehouse personnel when an order is shipped. Email notification can include a link to carriers tracking web page. Your customers will value this extra level of communication and service.
- Take pictures of inventory items or scan paper documents and store the resulting images with the shipment. Your customers will have access to shipping reports which will allow them to view these images on-line through the customer web portal .
